About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Corporate Legal & Governance to lead and oversee its corporate legal and board affairs teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising the corporate legal team, providing legal guidance on a wide range of corporate matters, and ensuring high-quality legal and governance support across the organization. This role also involves serving as a strategic advisor to the Chief Legal Officer, participating in department-wide priorities, and managing the budget and outside counsel for both teams. Key responsibilities include drafting and negotiating agreements, overseeing board and committee meetings, and maintaining compliance with legal and governance practices. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, active bar membership, and a minimum of 10 years' experience in corporate law, governance, or a related field, with a strong preference for those with experience in supporting boards of directors and corporate secretary functions. The role requires proven people management skills, exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a track record of building and leading high-performing teams, the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and experience in budget management and resource planning. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also required.
