Location: Auburn, MA

Salary: up to $95,000 per year

This is a full time direct placement role onsite with our client working Monday through Friday 8a-5p

Overview

We are seeking a Buyer/Planner to support procurement and planning activities for indirect materials, services, tooling, fixed assets, and select production materials. This role ensures materials and services are sourced at the right cost, quality, and delivery levels while supporting inventory planning and ERP-based scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure indirect materials, services, tooling, and select production materials
• Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance
• Issue and manage purchase orders in alignment with company needs
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders on material requirements and timelines
• Support inventory control and planning using ERP/MRP systems
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve supply issues as needed
• Ensure timely receipt and scheduling of materials and services

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain planning
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor, etc.)
• Understanding of inventory management and procurement processes
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience

• Indirect procurement (MRO, services, tooling)
• Exposure to production materials or manufacturing supply chains
• Experience working cross-functionally with operations or engineering
