Product Development, Specialist

Summary Sun Bum is seeking a detail‑oriented Product Development Specialist to provide administrative support to the Product Development team. This role supports sample organization, basic data entry updates, and document filing using established processes under close supervision. You’ll complete task‑based support activities for new and existing products based on clear instructions and templates provided by the team. Product Development Specialist will report into the Senior Manager, Product Development. Responsibilities Complete administrative tasks and follow‑ups as assigned by the Product Development team Enter updates into trackers and timelines using information provided by the team Share status updates only when directed (no independent stakeholder follow‑up) Sampling Coordination Support sample requests by sending request details to vendors and internal teams as directed by the Product Development team. Receive, document, organize, and control incoming samples with accurate tracking and labeling Help maintain sample inventory and notify the team when samples need attention Field Testing Coordination Prepare and package materials for field testing using instructions provided Collect and organize feedback responses into a spreadsheet or tracker (no summarizing conclusions) Format presentation slides using an existing template; content provided by the team Artwork Routing & Release Support the artwork routing process by tracking status updates as directed Assist with distributing final artwork files to internal teams or external partners Help maintain organized records of artwork versions and approvals Clinical Testing Support Assist with preparing and shipping samples to testing labs using provided instructions Enter updates into tracking logs and documentation as directed by the team Support filing and organization of testing‑related documents Product Documentation & Systems Assist with organizing product documentation in shared systems and folders Support updating project information in tools such as Asana or PLM as directed Save and organize documentation in designated locations using provided guidelines Required Skills / Experience / Competencies Bachelor’s degree in science or related fields preferred (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering) 2+ years’ product development experience Experience with developing consumer goods, preferably personal care, and OTC’s Demonstrated ability in launching world class products Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Strong teamwork skills Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies Worked and is familiar with Specright, PLM, ASANA Job Requirements / Compensation Full Time Up to 10% of overnight travel $68,400-$89,775 is the salary range for this position. It represents a portion of the overall package, and includes flexibility based on the candidate's qualifications. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice as assigned by the Manager.
