Assistant Controller
We are partnering with a well-known company in the logistics space that is looking for an Assistant Controller who can help streamline revenue, billing, and analysis.
- Work closely with leadership to manage the month and year end financial statement close process.
- Lead monthly closing activities including but not limited to review or preparing general journal entries and monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes.
- Prepare a variety of technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures.
- Prepares and analyzes banking transactions; reconciles bank, credit card and loan accounts.
- Prepares various tax reporting requirements; form 1099s, unsecured business property statements, and other corporate filings.
- Partner with FP&A to develop relevant, timely reports on financial data supporting key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets.
- Assist with annual financial and insurance audits.
This company has grown significantly since 2020 and this person will take a leadership role in the analysis and improvement of processes with a window to the CFO and CEO.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of accounting experience required; 2+ years of public accounting a plus; CPA preferred.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (especially Excel), knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (D365) a plus.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting desired
