Wellfound has an opening for a full-time Psychiatrist to join our dynamic inpatient medical team. Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients. Position Information Our providers are responsible for providing high quality, efficient and effective specialized psychiatric care that is evidence based and trauma-informed, in accordance with Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital standards and guidelines, as well as with applicable statutory requirements and accepted clinical practices for the medical profession of psychiatry. An incumbent is engaged in admitting, attending, discharging and consulting on patients following established protocols as determined by Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital medical governance and bylaws. Work includes providing direct patient care that respects the patient’s unique values and needs by examining, diagnosing and analyzing the patient’s total health condition and developing short- and long-term treatment goals and plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and with each patient and/or their care designee(s). Wellfound is located on the beautiful South Puget Sound in Washington. We are an hour drive away from the beautiful Cascade Mountain range, and Mount Rainier. This area is known for an outdoor lifestyle including boating, biking, hiking, and skiing. Tacoma is the second largest city in Washington state. You will accrue 0.12 hours of PTO per hours worked until you reach the next level of accrual. Malpractice Insurance CME credit up to $5,000 per year per policy What We Require Education MD/DO degree from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a residency program in Psychiatry, approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association. Certification Current Washington state medical license.
