Job Full Description

Job Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and shipping products and materials. This role ensures accurate inventory records, timely shipments, and compliance with company safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
Inspect products for damage, defects, or discrepancies.
Unload, label, and store inventory in designated locations.
Prepare, package, and ship orders accurately and on time.
Generate and maintain shipping and receiving documentation.
Track inventory and update records in inventory management systems.
Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments regarding shipments.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow company policies and safety procedures.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience preferred.
Basic computer and data entry skills.
Ability to lift and move packages (up to employer requirements).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with inventory management systems.
Forklift certification.
Knowledge of shipping carriers and logistics processes.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:

Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required.
