Medical Assistant- Front Office 26-00214

Front Office/Medical Receptionist
Supports the daily operations of the surgical practice by providing excellent customer service in answering phones, collecting patient balances, co-pays and scheduling appointments.
- Maintains and verifies accurate and thorough intake of patient information.
- Answers and directs incoming phone calls appropriately.
- Provides efficient and effective scheduling of patient appointments.
- Verifies patient specialist authorization and hospital of record.
- Collects patient balances and copays as designated.
- Assists with filing chart materials as needed.
- Provide compassionate patient advocacy and support.
- Accurate documentation in medical records.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to dynamic medical office.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One year Medical Office or related health field experience preferred.
- MS Office and EMR experience required
- Current BCLS certification or completion of program within 2 years of employment.
- Graduate of High School or GED program required.
Additional Information Full-Time Contract to Hire Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm INDH
