World Wrapps 2.0 - Assistant ManagerSummary of Position:The overall responsibility of an Assistant Manager is to support the General Manager in overseeing and coordinating the daily planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve the stated objectives in sales, costs, service and profitability. The Assistant Manager is a key leader on the restaurant team and is expected to help set the expectation for all team members to work together, maximize productivity, and ensure the company's Non-Negotiables are adhered to on all shifts.The Assistant Manager is a hands-on leader who leads by example and supports the General Manager in creating a positive, productive and team-oriented environment. When the General Manager is not present, the Assistant Manager is responsible for leading the restaurant and ensuring World Wrapps' vision, values and standards are maintained on every shift.Position Description:Support the General Manager in managing and planning for all restaurant operations as if World Wrapps the business is your own. Maintain the highest quality standards for food, service, health and safety. Assist in ensuring the efficient and profitable performance of the restaurant and the optimal utilization of staff and resources. Guide your team to always follow the Non-Negotiables; it is what makes the Company unique.Compensation and Benefits:$27/hr ($23 base plus $4-$5/hr in tips)Performance Bonus opportunities - Up to 10% of annual salary80 hours of annual PTOMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance will be provided. World Wrapps employer contribution will be based on 100% for the employee and 50% for the employee's dependents on the company's base health plan.Retirement Savings PlanOpportunities for growth and advancement within World WrappsJob Responsibilities:Assist the General Manager in managing sales and profitability while maintaining the highest quality food, service, health & safety standardsLead daily restaurant operations and ensure all team members are following WW procedures and standardsOpen and close the restaurant according to company standards and proceduresOversee and lead shifts to ensure efficient operations and exceptional guest serviceAssist with interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating and coaching team membersProvide ongoing training and coaching so the team consistently follows WW procedures/standardsHelp create a positive, professional and team-oriented work environmentInteract with guests, offer advice on menu choices, and effectively handle guest inquiries/issuesAssist the GM with staff scheduling and ensure appropriate staffing levels throughout the weekMonitor labor and productivity during shifts and make adjustments as neededSupport the execution of successful marketing programs, promotions and guest communication within the restaurantCultivate opportunities to grow the Catering ProgramManage the quality and accuracy of daily delivery orders from multiple catering channelsPartner with the GM and KM to oversee food/beverage prep & presentation, and recipe adherenceAssist with the delivery, storage, and quality of all restaurant food & suppliesAssist with inventory management and cost controlEnsure accurate cash handling and daily reconciliation procedures are followedEnsure team is following all health, safety and security proceduresMaintain the overall cleanliness of the restaurant and propertyEnsure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working conditionCommunicate equipment maintenance, repairs and service needs to the GMBuild and maintain positive relationships with guests, team members and vendorsAct as an influential Brand Ambassador within the local communityFill in where needed to maintain guest service standards and efficient operationsAssume responsibility for the restaurant in the absence of the General ManagerPrepare all required paperwork in an organized and timely mannerStand and walk for prolonged periods of timeLift up to 50 lbs.Knowledge and Experience:Minimum of 1-2 years previous experience in food and beverage or restaurant operationsPrevious supervisory or management experience preferredDemonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a teamStrong customer service and communication skillsWorking knowledge of food preparation and presentationExperience with staff training, coaching and team buildingBasic understanding of inventory and cost controlExperience with staff scheduling and managing laborAbility to effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environmentBasic knowledge of administrative procedures that pertain to managing a restaurantAdept at using relevant computer applicationsManager ServSafe Certified or ability to obtain certificationKey Competencies:Ownership mentalityStrong decision-making and judgmentProblem identification and solvingPlanning and organizationEffective multi-level communicationCustomer service focusTeam buildingAdaptability and flexibilityStress management skillsAccountability and follow-throughThe information contained herein is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job, nor is it intended to be an all-inclusive list of the skills and abilities required to do the job.
