CNC Programmer

Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire CNC Programmer job in Rochester, NY or Webster, NY for our client, a diverse manufacturer of fabricated products. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining software programs and libraries for CNC fabrication equipment, including turret punches, lasers, combination turret/laser machines, press brakes, and related automation. The CNC Programmer will provide technical support across all shifts, evaluate and close technical non-conforming material reports, support programming operations, and assist with manufacturing process control documentation and pre-production review activities.

• This is a 1st shift position , Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
• The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 dollars, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities for the CNC Programmer job in Rochester, NY include:

• Develops and maintains software programs for a diverse group of CNC machinery including turret punches, lasers, combination turret/laser machines, press brakes, etc.) and related automation.
• Evaluating and closing technical non-conforming material reports
• Serving as backup for developing manufacturing process control documents (MPCDs) for fabricated products
• Providing technical support across all shifts for operators, maintenance associates, engineers, and supervisors
• Evaluating and closing action items from pre-production review activities

Qualifications

• Three (3) to five (5) years of related CNC programming experience Working knowledge of Amada and Mazak CNC programming software (e.g., Amada VPSS 4iE Blank, Dr. Abe Bend, Radan)
• High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree in manufacturing technology or related field preferred
• Strong 3D modeling skills in SolidWorks and experience with AutoCAD
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities
