Full Stack Java Developer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Full Stack Java Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

In this role, the successful candidate will initially work on a Treasury Viewer application, focusing on tech modernization, performance improvements, and new product onboarding related to the Interest Rate Risk Management framework. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a modern microservices web-based architecture and improve performance and resiliency while delivering new business capabilities for an important CIO initiative.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications using Java and modern front-end technologies
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services, and integrations with external systems using a microservice, container-based architecture
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code and perform code reviews
• Develop responsive and dynamic UI components using frameworks such as Angular
• Ensure application quality through unit testing, integration testing, and debugging
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
• Collaborate regularly with Technology Managers, Product Managers, Delivery Leads, and feature team teammates
• Deliver features as per agreed requirements and acceptance criteria
• Build reliable, performant, secure, and scalable applications

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience as a full stack Java developer
• Design and development experience in web services using RESTful web API and JSON
• Experience with modern application architecture including Containers, Microservices, Cloud, and Secure coding principles
• Working experience in OpenShift, Unix, Kafka, and Splunk
• Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, REST, Angular, and Node.js
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
• Great team player with good communication skills
• Accountable and willing to take ownership with enthusiasm in the face of technical challenges

Desired skills:

• Data analytics or modeling experience
• Financial services industry knowledge/experience in Capital Markets, Hedging, Cash Management, etc
• Experience with Oracle Exadata, Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, and Bootstrap

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
