Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Technician to support mechanical and electrical assembly operations in a technical manufacturing environment. This position performs testing, measurements, assembly, troubleshooting, and process-control activities while supporting product builds and maintaining high standards for safety and quality.

Job Description

• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly tasks in an assembly-focused manufacturing environment.
• Complete testing, measurements, operations, and process-control activities.
  
• Perform technical duties supporting functional work-group projects and manufacturing initiatives.
  
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and mechanical assembly diagrams.
  
• Follow job packets, routings, work orders, wire lists, quality travelers, bills of material, and other production documentation.
  
• Follow work instructions, assembly procedures, and established manufacturing processes.
  
• Identify components and properly assemble mechanical and electrical systems.
  
• Perform wire preparation, stripping, crimping, harness repair, and termination as required.
  
• Use appropriate manual hand tools and production equipment.
  
• Troubleshoot product, process, and program issues to identify defects and assist with repairs.
  
• Maintain production tools, equipment, and work areas.
  
• Support automated machine operation and programming as applicable.
  
• Apply knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, and mechanical assemblies.
  
• Perform test techniques and procedures for assigned projects and production cells.
  
• Maintain required production and quality documentation.
  
• Communicate effectively through written communication and email.
  
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System.
  
• Maintain compliance with all company quality and safety requirements.

Skills Required

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and mechanical assembly diagrams.
• Mechanical and electrical assembly experience.
• Basic troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable working with hand tools and manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and established procedures.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to open and navigate work instructions, use Outlook/email, and review PowerPoint-based instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to comply with all required safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Approximately 2–5 years of relevant manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, assembly, or technical experience.
• Automotive mechanic experience.
• Machine shop experience.
• Assembly or manufacturing experience.
• Experience working with mechanical or electrical systems.
• Experience with electronics, hydraulics, or mechanical assemblies.
• Experience operating or programming automated machinery.
• Previous experience troubleshooting manufacturing or assembly defects.

Education/Training/Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.

Additional requirements

• Shi ft: 1 st Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Pay rate

• $19 - $24 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
