If you're passionate about dentistry and ready to take the next step in your career, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities:Lead and mentor dental assistant team members to ensure consistent, high-quality patient careAssist dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, preventive, and surgical treatmentsTake and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) in compliance with safety protocolsManage sterilization and infection control procedures in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelinesPrepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials prior to patient appointmentsCoordinate patient scheduling, records, and clinical workflow to maximize office efficiencyEducate patients on post-treatment care and proper oral hygiene practicesMaintain dental supply inventory and coordinate ordering of clinical materialsRequirements:Minimum 2–3 years of dental assisting experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role preferredDental Assistant certification (CDA) or equivalent state-recognized credential preferredRadiography certification or X-ray license as required by Connecticut state regulationsProficiency with Dentrix practice management software and electronic health records (EHR)Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control standardsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitudeAbility to multitask, lead a team, and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environmentCPR/BLS certification preferredAbout Us:Norwich Family & Cosmetic Dentistry is a trusted dental practice serving the Norwich, CT community with a commitment to exceptional patient care and a welcoming environment.
