Their goal is to employ adequate service levels and product available to customers while being the liaison to the Customer Support, Supply & Operations Planning processes.How you will impact Smurfit WestRock:Schedule production across multiple shifts to include:Establish daily production plan(s)Track orders and production information, adjust as necessaryMaintain superior customer satisfaction through on-time if full deliveryDaily coordination with production, customer service, graphics, maintenance, and shippingResponsible for ensuring maximum utilization and efficiency of all assets, including:Maintain maximum possible total product availabilityMaintain flexibility to make optimum use of assetsHelp control business cost through schedule/mix managementMinimize freight costs through disciplined schedule managementMinimize paper waste and paper substitutionsMinimize downtime, change orders, and manpowerOptimize the network through proactive order management flexing between locations and assets resulting in increased throughput, decreased cost to serve and maximum serviceCreate and maintain reports for above responsibilities ensuring alignment to goalsGenerate machine capacity plans as part of the Demand & Supply Planning ProcessAnalyze machine run metrics to ensure availability is consistent with demandManage and update the speed and availability data by machine that drive the supply demand model in support of the IBP processReport capacity allocation by account for those where capacity is reservedCollaborate with all functional business units to ensure alignment of strategic initiativesIn sold out cycles, work w/ Customer Support and Inventory management to maximize sales order/replenishment and execute customer priorities.In under sold cycles, work with Customer Support, Demand, and Inventory management teams to identify opportunities to optimally utilize available capacity.Maintain standards, rules, exceptions, and customer tolerancesPerform other duties as assigned by manager that fall within the scope and level of roleWhat you need to succeed:Bachelor's degree PreferredAPICS Certification Preferred1-5 years' experience in a process manufacturing environment (scheduling preferred)Strong analytical skillsAbility to communicate clearly and effectivelyAbility to plan and organizing workloadWhat we offer:Corporate culture based on integrity, respect, accountability, and excellence.Comprehensive training with numerous learning and development opportunities.An attractive salary reflecting skills, competencies, and potential.Benefits package to include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k with match, tuition reimbursement, employee discounts, employee referral bonus, and much more!A career with a global packaging company where Sustainability, Safety and Inclusion are business drivers and foundational elements of the daily work.Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
