Provide exceptional care for patients in an outpatient orthopedic clinical setting. Document patient status in writing per compliance guidelines of IBJI Rehab. Provide periodic written communication to physicians through progress notes and discharges after consulting with the supervising PT regarding assessment and plan, co‑signed by PT. Communicate frequently with supervising PT regarding appropriate patient progression, discharge, and patient follow up. Supervise Rehabilitation Technicians with patient care and administrative staff as needed. Comply with daily paperwork which includes documenting all treatment in patient charts in a timely manner (daily notes, progress notes, discharges, HEP, etc). Stay current with billing policies and demonstrate ethical billing practices. Maintain active state license by earning appropriate CEUs through outside courses and IBJI sponsored educational opportunities. Develop positive relationships with physical therapists and physician teams at IBJI. Take an active role in the patient medical team by facilitating relationships with PTs, MDs and case managers as appropriately directed by supervising PT. Participate in IBJI sponsored programs including mentoring, clinical educator, special interest groups, community outreach, etc. Requirements Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program. Holds current license to practice in Illinois. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Current CPR certification. Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds. Demonstrates good understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, pushing. Ability to stand and sit for sequences of time greater than 30 minutes. Ability to work on a computer for lengthy times during the day. Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
