Senior Research Lab Technician

Senior Research Laboratory Technician Under the general supervision of the principal investigator, the senior research laboratory technician carries out a broad range of research activities and procedures with some latitude to determine techniques and establish protocol. They perform lab procedures with speed, method, precision and a clear understanding of the theory behind tests and procedures, and work independently with minimal supervision. Job Description Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study required. Experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable. Experience Experience in an academic or laboratory research setting of 3‑5 years is required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent communication skills. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to oversee the work of others. Ability to work independently. Ability to identify problems and develop solutions. Ability to prioritize tasks and set deadlines. Strong database management and overall computer skills. Functions with speed, precision and an understanding of the theory behind tests and procedures.
