Job TitleAbout the vacancy Location: District Service Center Hours/Day: 8 hours/day (6:00am - 2:30pm) Days/Week: 5 days/week Months/Year: 12 months/year Under immediate supervision, performs journey-level heating and refrigeration work in the construction, installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of a variety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment throughout the District.Requirements / QualificationsEducation: Must possess a secondary (i.e., high school) school diploma, or its equivalent (GED). Completion of basic college courses in HVAC theory is desirable. Experience: Five (5) years of general heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration experience including four (4) years as an apprentice and one (1) year at the journey-level is required. Applicants with certificate of completion of an apprenticeship in the trade are considered to have completed four (4) years of the required experience. Special License or Language Skills: Universal C.F.C. (Chlorofluorocarbon) Recovery Certification is required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Employees must be physically and mentally able to perform the essential duties of a posi­tion with or without reasonable accommodation and without hazard to themselves or others.
