Project Supervisor – Construction (Monroe, CT)

TEKsystems is partnering with a well-established construction company in the Monroe area to hire a Project Supervisor. This position is ideal for someone with early construction experience or relevant education who is looking to build a long-term career in construction supervision or project management, specifically supporting commercial construction projects.

This is a field-based oversight role focused on coordination, safety, quality control, and keeping projects on track. This is not a tools-on position.

Job Description

The Project Supervisor will work closely with project managers, field crews, and subcontractors to support daily operations on active commercial job sites. This person will help ensure work is completed safely, correctly, and on schedule while gaining exposure to project oversight responsibilities. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to grow into a leadership role within construction.

Responsibilities

• Support and oversee daily field activities across commercial job sites
• Monitor jobsite safety and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Review work for accuracy, quality, and adherence to project specifications
• Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Assist with planning, scheduling, and day-to-day task coordination
• Identify issues or delays and escalate to project leadership as needed
• Complete site documentation including daily reports and progress updates
• Help maintain an organized, productive, and safe jobsite environment

Must-Have Qualifications

• Prior construction experience or construction-related education (trade school, technical program, engineering tech coursework, etc.)
• Strong interest in moving into construction supervision or project management
• Ability to communicate clearly with field teams and leadership
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality
• Problem-solving skills in a fast-paced field environment
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally in the Monroe area

Nice-to-Have

• Experience supporting commercial construction projects
• Experience assisting supervisors, foremen, or field leadership
• Exposure to electrical construction or electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, or construction documents

About the Candidate

This is a Permanent position based out of Monroe, CT.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
