House Manager/Butler PositionA busy and kind family of four is seeking a fantastic house manager/butler to help them oversee their home in the West Village. The schedule for this role will generally be Monday through Friday, full-time hours, with some flexibility for events occurring during evenings and weekends. This position is set up to be live-out, but the family is willing to provide separate living accommodations for the ideal person. This position involves aspects of management, including overseeing some household staff and outside vendors, and also includes duties related to hospitality, including greeting guests and providing service at events and parties.ResponsibilitiesSupervising and overseeing housekeeping staff, including assisting with heavy lifting as neededFive-star level service and hospitalityAnticipate principal/guests' needsConsistently ensuring the highest level of service is providedGreeting guests and acting as front-of-houseProviding service during events and partiesMonitoring the home for necessary repairs and upkeep- performing light maintenanceHiring and supervising vendorsWork with existing staff to keep the home in running orderQualificationsTeam player- the family has a solid existing staff structureSelf-starter who takes initiativeDiscreet and polishedKind and joyful presence"No job is too big or too small" attitudeRequirementsUS work authorizationAvailable to start ASAPSpanish speaker is preferredFormal dining and wine service knowledgeExperience with service and comfortable with interacting with both vendors and guestsSalary and Benefits$150k++ DOEFull benefits including health insurancePotential for separate living quarters for the right candidate
