Personal Banker I – Scottsdale, Arizona The Personal Banker I is a Financial Center position focused on using the consultative sales process to proactively identify and meet the financial needs of customers or prospects. Selected candidates will complete a 4‑ to 8‑week onboarding and education program that includes rotations in operations and Sales & Service, and will receive a certification at the program’s conclusion. Responsibilities Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build a thorough customer profile and identify current and future financial needs. Maintain in‑depth knowledge of Retail consumer and small business products/services and recommend appropriate solutions using the bank’s value proposition. Utilize CAMP and other approved marketing tools to proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews. Focus on cross‑selling to existing customers and engaging in outside sales activities such as Membership Advantage presentations, business sales calls, and community financial literacy events, as directed. Establish close working relationships with assigned Business Partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment) and refer customers when appropriate to provide timely, holistic financial solutions. Consistently meet or exceed customer experience and individual/team production goals and enhance year‑over‑year revenue growth as measured by the Financial Center P&L. Provide guidance to CSRs regarding the sales and referral process. Promote customer satisfaction with a friendly, helpful demeanor and professionalism. Answer customer questions and own customer issues confidently. Maintain a position of trust and confidentiality by keeping all business confidential. Adhere to the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other policies. Follow established procedures while opening/servicing the full range of Retail products. Participate in the consumer loan and bankcard process, owning sourced loans from application through closing. Participate in the opening/closing process of the Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed. Keep up to date on Retail procedures to mitigate fraud and risk. Qualifications College degree or equivalent work experience providing transferrable skills. Preferred experience in the financial industry. Demonstrated ability to develop comfort with sales activities aimed at acquiring new consumers and small business customers and/or cross‑selling to existing customers. Understanding of advanced math functions needed for analysis of credit and financial information. Professional appearance and verbal/written communication skills. Working knowledge of Retail policies and procedures to exercise good judgment. S.A.F.E. Act registration required at time of employment via NMLS. Working Conditions Normal office environment with screen exposure. Requires training travel within the affiliate and occasional travel outside the affiliate for classroom sessions.
