About the role As a Payroll Connections Specialist, you will enable and optimize payroll integrations for our clients. The role involves ensuring integrations function flawlessly and overseeing the client’s first 401(k) contribution. You will work closely with Sales Activation, Payroll Partners, Product, Customer Success, and Operations to ensure seamless and accurate data integration across all systems. What you will do each day Act as the main point of contact for clients, helping them establish technical integrations with 400+ payroll providers. Develop an in‑depth understanding of payroll provider systems and verify incoming payroll data for accuracy and completeness. Use problem‑solving and decision‑making skills to navigate technical issues that impact data flow. Accurately evaluate data discrepancies and work independently to make appropriate adjustments. Assist in drafting procedures detailing payroll data flow, demonstrating knowledge of SEC, DOL, and IRS regulations. Investigate technology issues, identify root causes, and collaborate with various departments to implement solutions. Guide clients through data analysis and support their data transmission efforts. Communicate professionally to internal and external stakeholders, focusing on needs‑driven solutions. Identify areas for process improvement and support project initiatives that may broadly impact the business. What you bring to the role 3+ years of experience in a professional role with strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills. At least 1 year of dedicated customer service experience with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Robust work ethic and proven ability to manage projects, work independently, and deliver high‑quality results with minimal supervision. Prior experience working with retirement plans or payroll providers, and a general grasp of governing industry regulations. Ability to quickly adapt to various HRIS/client systems, troubleshoot software issues, and execute solutions under tight timelines. Passion for process improvement, desire to master new programs, and demonstrated ability to champion change. Extreme, uncompromised attention to detail and a commitment to quality output. Exceptional PC literacy, including advanced expertise across the G‑Suite ecosystem. Compensation The base salary for this position spans $28.85 to $30.77 per hour, depending on location and experience. Base salary is one component of the overall total rewards package, which may include bonuses, commissions, and equity.
