The orientation period is up to 6 months long and can be tailored to individual needs. Employees are welcomed into a supportive and collaborative team with positive provider relationships, along with opportunities to expand their knowledge with organizational resources and opportunities.Roles and Responsibilities:•Assess patients with a variety of needs. Use a person-centered care approach in the development of care, and effectively prioritize patient needs that are both expected and unanticipated.•Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact with other health care professional and patients.•Demonstrate competence and resourcefulness in the implementation of the technical skills required to care for the patient. Demonstrates initiative in remaining current in the organization and department policies, procedures, and standards.•Evaluates effectiveness of care giving, shows follow through on delivery, demonstrates critical thinking skills by making appropriate clinical decisions, proactively addresses actual and potential problems, and executing compliant clinical documentation.•Assist with educating patients and families and serves as a resource on department standards for patient care.•This is a full-time position that includes a call component. The units are regularly staffed Mondays- Fridays 0700-1800. Weekends and holidays are covered by call which rotates amongst the nursing team.Required Skills and Experience:•Current NYS Registered Nursing•1 year of Endoscopy RN experiencePreferred Skills and Experience:•Will obtain BLS during introductory period.
