Maintenance Technician

Job Summary Location: Gilroy, CA Schedule: Full‑Time Monday–Friday, 40 hrs per week Base Pay: $26.00‑$27.00 / Hour Travel Required: 25% What You’ll Do As the Maintenance Technician, you will help ensure the property is well maintained, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors. Complete maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner. Perform general maintenance tasks including painting, cleaning, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs. Assist with preventative maintenance to keep building systems in good working condition. Maintain grounds and landscaping to support strong curb appeal. Assist with annual apartment inspections and identify maintenance needs. Work with the Property Manager to coordinate vendors and order supplies. Maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff. Report lease or house rule violations when observed. Respond appropriately to emergency maintenance situations. Follow company policies and procedures. Qualifications & Skills Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact positively with residents, vendors, and team members. Strong organizational and time‑management abilities. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Professionalism and strong listening skills. Experience with subsidized housing programs (HUD, LIHTC, or RD) is helpful. General building maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting. General groundskeeping and landscaping experience. Basic Requirements Reliable transportation. Authorized to work in the United States. Access to a personal smartphone with email, messaging, and app functionality (usage reimbursed).
