Job Title: Cable Laborer

(Barge Operations)

10 DAY Shifts - 6am to 6pm

10 NIGHT Shifts -6pm to 6am

** 12 Hour shifts, 12 DAYS ON, 20 DAYS OFF, 12 DAYS ON, 20 DAYS OFF

Duration: 2-3 Month Contract with extensions

Job Summary:
We are seeking reliable and hardworking Cable Laborers to assist with loading, moving, and staging cable materials onto barges for transportation and project use. This is a physically demanding role requiring strong work ethic, consistency, and the ability to work in a team-oriented, outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, and move cable materials onto and off barges
• Assist with staging and organizing cable for transport and project needs
• Support crew members with general labor duties on-site and on barges
• Follow instructions from supervisors to ensure efficient and safe operations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working on or near water

Required Qualifications:

• Strong work ethic and reliability (must show up on time and ready to work)
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds consistently
• Comfortable working in outdoor environments and on/near water
• Ability to work long hours, including early mornings or weekends if needed
• Team-oriented mindset with willingness to take direction

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction, labor, marine, or cable environments
• Experience working on barges, docks, or waterfront job sites
• Familiarity with basic safety practices in physically demanding roles

Work Environment:

• Outdoor, physically demanding environment
• Exposure to weather conditions including heat, cold, and humidity
• Work performed on barges, docks, or waterfront locations
