What We're Looking For

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist with strong organizational and communication skills to join our Operations team. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate billing, payment posting, and accounts receivable management while supporting our mission of delivering exceptional home health care.

Home health or medical billing experience is preferred but not required. We are looking for someone who is dependable, eager to learn, and committed to providing excellent service to our patients and insurance partners. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Process insurance claims accurately and timely.
• Post insurance and patient payments.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
• Follow up with insurance companies regarding unpaid or denied claims.
• Maintain accounts receivable and ensure timely collections.
• Submit corrected claims and appeals when necessary.
• Review patient accounts for billing accuracy.
• Maintain accurate documentation in billing and electronic health record systems.
• Perform additional billing and administrative duties as assigned.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.

Experience

Previous medical billing or healthcare office experience is preferred. Home health experience is a plus but not required. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance billing, Microsoft Office 365, and electronic health record systems is preferred.

Requirements:

• Ability to reliably commute to 15205 .
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of billing experience required.
• Medical office and data entry experience preferred.
• Associate degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
