Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Current RN or LPN/LVN license, valid in Washington State
• Previous nursing experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting is advantageous
• Strong assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Ability to communicate compassionately with students, staff, and parents
• Adaptable to busy school settings and comfortable working independently or as part of a team
• Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff during school hours
• Monitor chronic health conditions and implement care plans for students with diabetes, asthma, allergies, and other medical needs
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with school policies
• Conduct health screenings, maintain up-to-date records, and report findings as required
• Serve as a resource for health education and illness prevention within the school community
• Respond quickly and effectively to urgent medical situations and emergencies
