School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Tacoma, Washington

A contract opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) skilled in school nursing, located in Tacoma, WA. This role involves providing essential nursing care within a school setting, collaborating with educators and families to support the health and well-being of students.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and manage student health needs, including chronic conditions and acute illnesses
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Develop individualized healthcare plans and maintain accurate health records
Provide health education to students, staff, and families
Respond to emergencies and coordinate with healthcare providers as needed
Support a safe and healthy school environment through wellness initiatives

Qualifications:

Valid RN license in the state of Washington
Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Current certification in CPR and First Aid
