Quality Response Medical Staffing (QRMS) is seeking a Texas-licensed Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician for a full-time contract assignment at the San Antonio State Supported Living Center.

This position offers a Monday-Friday daytime schedule, a small panel of approximately 25 long-term-care adult patients, and an average patient volume of only 1-2 patients per day. Schedule customization may be available.

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week
• Monday-Friday, 8-hour days
• Generally between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM
• Minimum 2-month assignment with option to extend
• Immediate start upon completion of clearance requirements

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive medical care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting
• Provide direct patient care, assessments, treatment, and face-to-face evaluations
• Complete morning rounds and participate in morning report
• Manage approximately 25 long-term-care patients across two homes
• Complete annual and quarterly documentation
• Participate in annual and as-needed interdisciplinary team meetings
• Respond to emergency calls, restraints, and changes in patient status
• Maintain required training and documentation
• Follow HHSC and facility policies and standards of care

On-Call Requirements:

• One weeknight of home call per week, approximately 5:00 PM-8:00 AM (average approximately 5 calls)
• One weekend of home call per month, Friday 5:00 PM-Monday 8:00 AM (average approximately 25 calls)
• On-call compensation is paid separately from the regular hourly rate

Requirements:

• Active Texas Medical License with no sanctions
• Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician
• Active DEA registration
• Current American Heart Association-approved CPR certification
• Ability to obtain required hospital credentialing
• Must complete required HHSC drug screening and fingerprinting
• Must complete facility and HHSC-required training
