PPF & Window Tint Installer — Experienced (Alamo, TX)
The Luxe Detail Studio | $19–$23/hr | Full-Time | On-site
About Us
The Luxe Detail Studio is a premium vehicle protection shop in Alamo, TX serving the Rio Grande Valley. We install paint protection film, ceramic coatings, window tint, paint correction, and vinyl wrap on everything from daily drivers to six-figure builds. Our work is our marketing — every car that leaves our bay is a portfolio piece.
What You'll Do
- Install paint protection film (PPF) — partial front ends, full fronts, and full-vehicle wraps using plotter-cut and bulk/custom-cut patterns
- Install automotive window tint — full vehicle sets, windshields, and commercial/residential when scheduled
- Perform surface prep: decontamination, clay, panel wipe, and edge-wrap work
- Inspect every completed vehicle under proper lighting before release — no silver, no fingers, no lifted edges
- Maintain a clean, organized, contamination-free install bay
- Photograph and document completed work for our content pipeline
- Communicate professionally with customers at drop-off and delivery
What You Need
- 2+ years of hands-on PPF and/or window tint installation experience (we will verify — bring photos of your work)
- Proven ability to install without visible seams, stretch marks, or trapped contamination
- Comfortable with plotter software and pattern software (XPEL DAP, 3M, or similar) — or able to learn fast
- Solid knife and heat-gun control; clean edge wraps and tuck work
- Valid Texas driver's license and clean enough record to move customer vehicles
- Able to stand, kneel, and work overhead for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and reliable attendance — this is the #1 thing we care about after skill
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- $19–$23/hour based on demonstrated skill level (top of range is for installers who can run a full-front PPF solo, start to finish)
