The position is located near Converse, TX, and begins with the students' first day on August 12, 2026. You'll be working a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week, across five days, ensuring a healthy balance and the ability to build meaningful relationships with your students.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification as a Generalist and Special Education Teacher (required).
• Prior experience working in special education settings—particularly in self-contained or Life Skills classrooms—is highly valued.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach with students, staff, and families.
• Ability to create and adapt individualized lesson plans and manage a variety of learning differences.
• Demonstrated patience, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to students with a variety of needs in a self-contained Life Skills classroom.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and collaborate with related service providers.
• Foster a positive, supportive, and structured classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and communicate regularly with families.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development sessions.
