Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students by bringing your expertise as a Special Education Teacher to a supportive school environment. Two full-time and two part-time contract opportunities are available for dedicated educators, including a unique chance for professionals with dyslexia teaching experience to serve as Dyslexia Case Managers.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Texas teaching certification in EC-4, EC-6, or EC-12 (for qualified applicants)
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary school setting
- Previous work as a Dyslexia teacher highly preferred for Dyslexia Case Manager roles
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and best practices for diverse learners
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Your Role Will Include:
- Providing individualized and small group instruction to support students’ academic growth
- Collaborating with general education teachers, specialists, and families to implement effective learning strategies
- Monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to IEP development and meetings
- Serving as a Dyslexia Case Manager for select roles: developing intervention plans, tracking progress on goals, and coordinating with families and staff regarding supports and services
- Creating engaging, inclusive classroom environments that foster growth and independence
Opportunities Available:
- 2 Full-Time positions
- 2 Part-Time (4 hours/day, 5 days/week) positions
This assignment begins in mid-August, aligning with the first day of school for students, so you can help set the tone for a successful academic year.
