Responsibilities Prepare and review business and individual tax returns from initial client engagement through filing and delivery Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax projections Communicate proactively with clients regarding tax matters and planning opportunities Maintain and organize tax records and client databases Record and review tax-related accounting entries Research and apply tax reduction and planning strategies Prepare and/or review financial statements Respond to federal, state, and local tax notices and inquiries Assist clients with ongoing tax compliance and advisory needs Qualifications 2+ years of public accounting experience in a tax-focused role required CPA, EA, or licensed tax preparer designation preferred Strong understanding of individual and business taxation concepts, regulations, and compliance requirements Experience handling federal, state, and local income and payroll tax matters Knowledge of QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Experience with UltraTax and Accounting CS is a plus Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities Ability to learn new processes quickly and execute consistently in a fast-paced environment Successful candidates will: Thrive in a cloud-based, technology-forward environment Build strong relationships with clients and develop an understanding of their businesses Take initiative and seek opportunities to contribute beyond assigned responsibilities Follow established procedures while helping improve internal processes Communicate openly, ask thoughtful questions, and seek guidance when needed Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Be comfortable working additional hours during peak tax seasons based on agreed scheduling commitments Additional Experience That Will Support Success Payroll and payroll tax knowledge Experience with employee benefits-related accounting matters Exposure to nonprofit accounting environments Strong understanding of fixed assets and depreciation General knowledge of internal controls Why Join Us?
