Client Accounting Manager About the Role A growing accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Client Accounting Manager to manage a portfolio of business clients. This role combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with client relationship management, making it ideal for an experienced professional who enjoys serving as a trusted financial partner. Responsibilities Serve as the primary accounting partner for an assigned portfolio of clients, building strong relationships through responsive and professional service. Oversee month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare and analyze financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Maintain accurate general ledger activity and ensure the integrity of client financial records. Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including full-cycle bookkeeping and operational accounting functions. Collaborate with internal accounting and tax professionals to support client needs and reporting requirements. Evaluate existing workflows and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while effectively prioritizing deadlines and deliverables. Provide guidance and insights to clients regarding financial results, accounting matters, and business operations. Proactively identify issues, troubleshoot discrepancies, and implement practical accounting solutions. Qualifications 5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, client accounting, or outsourced accounting experience. Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and month-end close. Advanced QuickBooks experience required. Experience managing multiple clients, entities, or business units. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and build strong client relationships. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
