Accounting Manager

Position Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations while partnering closely with senior leadership. This individual will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, improving processes, managing the monthly close, and helping position the accounting department for future growth. Responsibilities Lead the daily accounting operations for the organization Manage the monthly financial close process and improve close timelines Review and prepare accurate financial statements Perform account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger Ensure financial transactions are properly coded and recorded across multiple systems Oversee banking activity and reconciliations for multiple related entities Maintain internal controls and accounting best practices Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies Partner closely with executive leadership on financial reporting and special projects Support annual audits and other financial reporting requirementsMentor and collaborate with existing accounting team members while fostering a positive, team-oriented culture Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 7+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience leading month-end close processes Excellent reconciliation and problem-solving skills Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks experience is a plus) Experience working with multiple entities is preferred Preferred Experience Public accounting and/or corporate accounting background Experience in professional services, consulting, or other service-based organizations Comfortable working in a growing entrepreneurial environment What Makes Someone Successful Here This organization places tremendous value on culture.
