Overview Position Summary. Provides comprehensive patient care to customers by processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, administering immunizations, and administering other programs developed by Walmart in compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes and regulations. Drives sales and profit in the Pharmacy and OTC areas by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, pricing, signing, inventory levels, budgeting and forecasting, and developing cross-functional relationships. Models and guides Associates on customer service to resolve customer needs, complaints, and issues within Company guidelines and standards. Oversees community outreach programs and encourages Associates to be active in the community. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOPs, QA policies) and monitor loss prevention and safety controls. Analyze reports, implement action plans, and provide direction on executing Company programs and strategic initiatives. Supervise and develop Associates, including training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing performance feedback, and promoting a inclusive workplace. Maintain confidentiality of information and ensure proper handling of records as required by policies and laws. Manage Pharmacy Operations, conduct Associate meetings, and align operations with regulatory requirements and quality standards. Document changes in pharmaceutical products and procedures and share information with staff and managers. Monitor inventory flow and ensure proper execution of inventory processes; address issues in the facility related to inventory. Demonstrate sound financial management, manage budgets, and report assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses in line with business needs. Maintain a culture of patient care, safety, and accuracy; ensure counseling and information sharing related to health services and new therapies, with appropriate documentation. Promote reporting and transparency of errors and develop corrective action plans focusing on root cause. Lead and participate in compliance initiatives, patient safety programs, and associated training for Health Wellness and other applicable associates. Compliance and Quality Create an environment centered on healthcare compliance and ensure completion and follow-up on compliance initiatives. Oversee billing procedures, HIPAA compliance, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Utilize auditing processes to identify issues and implement improvement plans. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD, or equivalent (FPGEC) as applicable. Pharmacy license (by job entry date). Completion of an ACPE-accredited immunization training program (e.g., APhA, pharmacy school curriculum, State Pharmacy Association program). Preferred Qualifications U.S. pharmacy-related experience. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Some roles may include additional compensation based on location and job structure.
