A manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Buyer who will handle complex negotiations, identify, select, and manage relationships with suppliers.  Additionally, you will also manage requisitions, purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, recommend improvements, and address supplier quality issues related to supplier product.  Work hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Job Duties:

• Identify prospective suppliers and analyze capabilities
• Release and monitor purchase orders to maintain material flow, expediting when needed
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable/Receivables on supplier invoice management and inventory control
• Develop short and long-term purchase plans
• Engage in negotiations with vendors on pricing, delivery, service payment terms, and quality
• Analyze suppliers for financial health and stability and manage supplier performance metrics
• Support company new products initiatives
• Maintain supplier relationships in line with company values and ensure compliance with supplier legal documents
• Optimize replenishment methods, supplier lead times, and material box sizes
• Leverage ERP Systems for accurate supplier and item information

Job Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must have a bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field with 5 years experience in supply chain or 13 years of supplier chain experience in lieu of degree
• Professional certification (SPM, CPM, CSCP) is preferred
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing Environment is preferred
• Must have advanced Microsoft Excel and MRP System 
• Prior team/lead leadership experience is preferred
• Must have strong communication, negotiations, decision making, problem solving, and analytical skills
• Must have the ability to pay a high attention to detail while being accurate
• Must be able to maintain continuous improvements and innovations
