Clinical Pharmacist – Specialty Pharmacy & Infusion Services

Las Vegas, NV (On-Site)

Full-Time

$48–$62 per hour + Benefits

A growing specialty pharmacy organization is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join its team in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with patients, providers, nurses, reimbursement specialists, and pharmacy operations teams to ensure safe, effective, and timely access to specialty infusion therapies.

This is an on-site position supporting specialty pharmacy and infusion services in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM PST
• Occasional weekend and holiday coverage as needed
• Participation in an on-call rotation
• Active Nevada Pharmacist license required
• Additional California and Texas licenses strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and verify prescriptions for clinical appropriateness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance
• Evaluate patient records, diagnoses, and treatment plans to support specialty medication therapy
• Monitor drug therapies and recommend interventions when appropriate
• Identify potential drug interactions, contraindications, therapeutic duplications, and medication-related concerns
• Provide patient counseling and education regarding specialty medications and treatment plans
• Collaborate with nursing, reimbursement, intake, referral, managed care, and pharmacy operations teams
• Support specialty infusion and pharmacy programs while maintaining high standards of patient care
• Oversee pharmacy technician activities and ensure compliance with established procedures
• Participate in quality assurance, accreditation, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Serve as a clinical resource for medication-related questions and patient care concerns

Qualifications

Required

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited program
• Active, unrestricted Nevada Pharmacist license
• Strong understanding of specialty medications and specialty pharmacy operations
• Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred

• Three or more years of experience in Specialty Pharmacy, Infusion Pharmacy, Home Infusion, Hospital Pharmacy, Retail Pharmacy, or Mail-Order Pharmacy
• Experience working with biologics, specialty therapies, and complex medication management
• Knowledge of reimbursement processes, prior authorizations, and payer requirements
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Familiarity with CareTend or similar pharmacy management systems
