Job Summary: Our pastry cooks are responsible for preparing and plating elegant desserts with precision, creativity, and consistency. They work closely with the culinary team to execute a refined menu, often incorporating seasonal ingredients and intricate techniques. This role demands strong attention to detail, time management, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences through pastry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow food safety and handling procedures, such as product rotation, dating and labeling all food items.
• Prepare pastry/bakery and prep items in a timely manner.
• Prepare all food items according to the specified cook times to ensure they are safe for customer consumption.
• Follow proper knife handling procedures.
• Ensure the quality of the food items and notify the manager if a product does not meet Goode Company standards.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen area including tables, tools, knives and equipment to ensure sanitary conditions are met.
• Assist cooks and kitchen staff to prepare food and provide them with needed items.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Punctual and reliable attendance
• 2 plus years of pastry experience in the kitchen of a high-volume establishment
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Effective time management skills
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• Able to work in with heated equipment.
• Be able to work in a standing and moving position for long periods of time.
• Food Handler certified
