Nurse Practitioner Gastroenterology (GI APP)

A well-established, not-for-profit healthcare system in the Seattle area is actively seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner Gastroenterology (GI APP) to join its growing specialty team. The organization participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.

Position Overview

Provide outpatient gastroenterology care, including evaluation and management of GI conditions Assess, diagnose, and treat conditions such as GERD, IBS, IBD, liver disease, and GI bleeding Perform patient consultations, follow-ups, and preventive screenings Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists on treatment plans and care coordination Assist with pre- and post-procedure care for endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy) Educate patients on diet, medications, and lifestyle modifications Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems

Qualifications

Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) Active or eligible for Washington State licensure Active/eligible DEA registration Prior experience in gastroenterology, internal medicine, or primary care preferred Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
