Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel RN – Emergency Room (ED) Travel Contract Location: George Washington University Hospital, Washington, DC 20037 Shift: Nights | 3x12s | 36 hrs/week Local Requirement: Must live 50+ miles from the facility Role Provide emergency nursing care for urgent, psychiatric, pediatric, trauma, and critical-care patients. Must be experienced with high-acuity interventions including medication titration, arterial lines, mass transfusions, and chest tubes. Requirements 3+ years ED/ER experience Active RN license in DC BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS & TNCC – Required Cerner experience – Required BSN highly preferred Travel experience preferred Must be willing to work as the bedside trauma RN in the trauma room Must be comfortable with 1:5 patient ratios.
