MAINTENANCE MECHANIC Full Time – Browntown, WI, US 2 days ago Requisition ID: 1035 Salary: $29.00 to $34.00 hourly (plus shift differentials) Sign‑on bonus: $2,000 Hours: 12:00 PM–8:00 AM Monday–Friday (Occasional Saturdays) Job post summary Repairs and maintains equipment and infrastructure at the production facilities and warehouse operations. Performs daily and weekly preventive maintenance programs to ensure efficient operation of mechanical equipment. Maintains a positive working relationship with other departments. Primary Responsibilities Maintain production and facility equipment. Respond promptly to work orders and complete necessary repairs. Check tool and material inventory; communicate needs to foreman or lead. Conduct visual inspections and report potential failures. Perform preventive maintenance (cleaning, lubricating, greasing, oiling). Key Activities Communicate with associates and management. Prioritize work orders based on importance and time required. Recognize and repair malfunctions in processing, filling, and ancillary equipment. Report issues with materials or product to supervisor. Complete all required documentation accurately. Maintain adequate hand tool supply for repairs. Comply with Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures. Follow OSHA safety regulations. Follow GMPs, sanitation, and quality procedures as directed by QA or supervisors. Perform other duties assigned by maintenance or management. Skills Required Troubleshooting. Basic PLC skills (preferred). Basic knowledge of electrical meters and troubleshooting. Communication. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices. Positive safety attitude. Welding experience. Necessary Experience High school diploma or equivalent. At least 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficient mechanical experience. Electrical experience. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Roles performed in a food manufacturing environment with strict adherence to food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards, including required PPE. Variable temperatures, machinery noise, exposure to food ingredients and sanitation chemicals. Standing or walking for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks, lifting up to 25–35 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance).
