About the Role
The Company is seeking a Board Member to join its dedicated team. The successful candidate will be part of a hands-on board that is deeply involved in mentoring candidates and supporting the organization's various services. The primary mission is to assist individuals in career transition, particularly those affected by job force reduction, industry downturn, or changing skills environments. The role is guided by a strong commitment to the values of H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Pursue Employment) and requires a compassionate and proactive approach to helping others. As a Board Member, the responsibilities include actively participating in the organization's activities, providing guidance and support to candidates, and contributing to the overall mission of the non-profit. The ideal candidate will have a background in a relevant field, such as human resources, career counseling, or a related area, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals in career transition. While the organization is currently all-volunteer, the Board Member should be prepared to dedicate time and effort to the role, including attending regular meetings and engaging with the community.
