Biostatistics Associate Director (HYBRID)

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Biostatistics Associate Director to lead statistical analyses for clinical trials and real-world data studies in medicines development. The role requires independent work on complex biostatistical projects, cross-functional collaboration, and regulatory interactions with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

Conduct statistical analyses for clinical trials, observational studies, and real-world data investigations
Lead biostatistics projects and major project components with work allocation and oversight
Author Statistical Analysis Plans, data review plans, and contribute to clinical study reports
Represent biostatistics on cross-functional teams and present findings to senior review boards
Collaborate with statistical programming to deliver high-quality tables, figures, and listings

Requirements

Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics
7 years of experience in biostatistics or equivalent education/experience combination
Advanced proficiency with SAS and R statistical software
In-depth knowledge of advanced statistical methods in drug development
Experience with NDA/MAA submissions and regulator engagement
Staff management experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation: $174,800 - $262,200 base
