Outpatient Therapist/Counselor - Mental Health Job Title : Outpatient Therapist/Counselor Reports To : Program Director Location : Northpoint Boise (Adult mental health outpatient in Boise, ID) Schedule : Tuesday 8am-6:30pm Thursday 11am-9:30pm Friday 8am-6:30pm Compensation : $34-45/hour Position Summary : The Therapist/Counselor will oversee therapeutic services for a caseload of clients, act as the treatment plan coordinator for the multidisciplinary team, and provide individual, group, and family therapy as required by contractual and licensure obligations. The role includes coordinating all direct clinical care from admission to discharge, collaborating with the team to develop and implement treatment and discharge plans, and completing timely documentation. Essential Responsibilities and Duties : Provide counseling, assessments and group facilitation to individuals and families. Coordinate all aspects of direct clinical care from admission to discharge. Consult with the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide quality client care. Provide orientation and education to clients, families and others to aid the therapeutic process. Collaborate with assigned clients in the development of written treatment plans, including client and family involvement in assessment, treatment, education and discharge planning. Monitor clients on an ongoing basis to continually assess needs and facilitate treatment and interventions. Document clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan, diagnostic summaries, and progress charting in a timely manner to assure comprehensive and quality client care. Actively participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and maintain effective working relationships with employees and peers. Maintain professional boundaries with clients at all times. Oversee and participate in the quality assurance and compliance activities of the facility. Provide clinical updates to utilization review and representatives of managed care to coordinate reimbursement of treatment services. Coordinate with community-based providers and referral sources to ensure optimal levels of care and treatment outcomes post-discharge. Case staffing and individual case supervision. Facilitate individual and group therapy. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care. Perform other clinically appropriate services and special projects as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements : Master’s Degree in Mental Health or Social Sciences required. Must hold an active mental health licensure in the state where treatment services are rendered (ID - LMSW, LCSW, LPC, or LCPC). Must maintain applicable state licensure requirements at hire and for the duration of employment. 1+ year of experience in the relevant field required. Ability to work with a diverse population and possess strong interpersonal skills. Must hold strong personal boundaries and be able to build rapport with patients. Must understand and adhere to the ethical standards of the respective licensure governing board. Preferred Knowledge and Skills : Excellent organizational abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems.
