We are looking for employees with the drive and desire to join our team and help us continue to grow.The H-J Family of Companies is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and technology-driven Learning & Development Coordinator to support the growth of our digital manufacturing training program. This role creates, maintains, and improves standardized work instructions, training materials, and operational documentation using Dozuki and other digital tools. Working closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Production teams, the Learning & Development Coordinator will help transform manufacturing knowledge into scalable, repeatable training systems that improve safety, quality, productivity, and consistency across the organization.Location: This position is fully on-site in High Ridge, MO and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements. Candidates must live within daily commuting distance. Relocation assistance and employment visa sponsorship are not available for this position.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTraining & Documentation DevelopmentCreate, maintain, and update digital SOPs, work instructions, training guides, and visual work aids using Dozuki and related platforms.Utilize digital and AI-assisted tools to improve documentation efficiency and standardization.Organize training content into structured learning paths based on department, equipment, process, and skill level.Support onboarding, cross-training, and employee development initiatives through accessible and effective training materials.Maintain document control, revision history, and compliance with company standards.Manufacturing Process DocumentationPartner with operators, supervisors, engineers, and subject matter experts to document manufacturing processes and best practices.Observe production activities to capture equipment operation, tooling requirements, quality expectations, and safety procedures.Convert tribal knowledge and verbal instruction into standardized, repeatable processes.Capture and maintain process documentation through photos, videos, screenshots, and interviews.Identify gaps in current training materials and prioritize documentation improvement opportunities.Collaboration & Continuous ImprovementCollaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and leadership teams to align training content with business objectives.Communicate technical processes in a clear, concise, and user-friendly format.Support continuous improvement initiatives through effective documentation and standardized work practices.Track and organize training records, content updates, and program effectiveness metrics.Maintain a professional presence on the production floor while promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement.QualificationsRequired QualificationsAssociate degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Training, Education, Business, or a related field.Manufacturing experience or exposure within a production, industrial, or operations environment.Strong computer proficiency with the ability to quickly learn and navigate new software, cloud-based applications, and digital platforms.Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Experience working with photos, videos, screenshots, or other digital media to support documentation and training initiatives.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, easy-to-follow instructions using a practical and straightforward approach.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.Preferred QualificationsExperience developing SOPs, work instructions, training materials, process documentation, or document control systems.Experience with Dozuki or similar digital learning management or manufacturing documentation platforms.Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Continuous Improvement, and standardized work principles.Exposure to ERP, MES, quality management, or other manufacturing software systems.Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems, production workflows, and operational best practices.Experience creating instructional content using photographs, videos, and other visual training media.Core CompetenciesCommunication & Training FacilitationProcess DocumentationAttention to DetailOrganizational EffectivenessProject CoordinationContinuous ImprovementCollaboration & TeamworkProblem SolvingAdaptabilityWorking ConditionsCombination of office and manufacturing environments.Frequent interaction with production employees and operational leadership.Regular walking and standing in manufacturing areas.Ability to lift and/or move materials up to 35 pounds.Use of required PPE while working in production environments.Why this Role MattersThis position plays an important role in developing a scalable training and knowledge-management infrastructure across H-J.
