Developing solutions to industrial problems by using mechanical/electronic/computer technology. Contributes actively through all the phases of the product lifecycle including preliminary design, development, safety, qualification and certification and product support.The ideal candidate has a desire for continual learning with excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, self-motivated, innovative, well-organized, able to handle and prioritize multiple assignments, able to communicate effectively both orally and written and able to work effectively across several different functional areas in a collaborative environment.Primary Responsibilities – Please read carefullyUse simulation, modeling, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodology in understanding and optimizing the control system and build-in test logic.Structured requirements writing, microprocessor or PLC control coding and troubleshootingDesign, develop, or implement control circuits or algorithms for electromechanical or pneumatic devices or systems.Classical control system analysis and understanding of control stabilityUnderstanding of sensors, wiring, and HMI/GUI interfaces developmentWork with the electro-chemical stack development teams to integrate and control newly developed components and technologies for integration into new products and customer upgradesCreate mechanical models and tolerance analyses to simulate mechatronic design conceptsConduct studies to determine the feasibility, costs, or performance benefits of new mechatronic equipment.Analyze system for safety objectives and architect solutions to assure safe and reliable product using stand approaches such as fault tree analysis (FTA), failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), mean time between failure (MTBF), mean time to repair (MTTR) and other basic reliability assessment techniques.Develop and execute 3rd Party regulatory qualification and certification including UL, CE, ISO, and various industry guidelinesWork with University researcher on best practices, control and system architectural breakthroughsAnalyze data gathered and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency for systems verification activitiesThis opening is for both management track and individual contributors.
