Programming Manager

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in industrial automation, programming, or controls; degree preferred.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and managing technical teams and projects.
• Strong experience with startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and field implementation.
• Proficiency with Allen Bradley and Schneider Modicon systems and VTScada, Ignition, Wonderware, and FactoryTalk.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to coach employees, manage performance, delegate work, and address issues professionally.
• Comfortable working in high-pressure customer and field environments, including after-hours support when needed.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage programming workload, priorities, resources, and schedules.
• Lead, mentor, and develop programming staff through training, coaching, and performance management.
• Provide hands-on technical support for controls, troubleshooting, configuration, startup, and commissioning.
• Review programming work and enforce quality and programming standards.
• Support project teams, clients, vendors, and field personnel in resolving technical issues.
• Assist with QA/QC reviews, testing, and identification of recurring technical issues.
• Participate in hiring, employee evaluations, development planning, and performance management.
• Support emergency service response and customer needs as required.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and clients to ensure successful project execution and strong customer relationships.
