Role Overview As Vice President of Product Design you will drive the overall user experience across the Informatica portfolio, shaping the experience design vision, strategy, and implementation for Informatica’s Data Management and GenAI products. Key responsibilities include collaborating with Data360, MuleSoft, Tableau, and Agentforce teams, leading a global world‑class design team, and reporting to the SVP of Salesforce UX & Product Design. Responsibilities Strategic Vision & Leadership: Build a culture of customer obsession, fostering innovation and customer‑centered thinking across the team. Develop and articulate a compelling design vision that inspires bold ideas and drives transformative outcomes. Anticipate future challenges, deliver clarity in high‑ambiguity environments, and mobilize teams for sustainable, high‑impact solutions. Customer‑Centric Product & Digital Design: Lead the creation of intuitive, impactful solutions rooted in design methodologies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand customer needs throughout the product lifecycle. Prioritize user journeys, enhancing usability, accessibility, and personalization. Guide ethical AI design with transparency, trust, and inclusivity. Adopt modular, reusable design patterns to support long‑term platform cohesion. Team Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing, multidisciplinary design team. Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning. Recruit, nurture, and retain top global design talent. Create environments of trust and psychological safety, removing barriers to autonomy. Operational Design Management: Establish workflows enabling rapid, customer‑driven design innovations. Prioritize resources on initiatives that significantly enhance the customer journey. Adopt cutting‑edge design tools that align operations with customer needs and business goals. Stakeholder Collaboration: Voice the customer in leadership meetings, ensuring alignment with customer‑first principles. Collaborate with other departments to consistently apply design principles. Drive strategic initiatives that boost customer satisfaction and experience metrics. Success Metrics Deliver easy‑to‑adopt, impactful data solutions scaling Salesforce’s vision. Be the design champion building next‑generation products and services. Cultivate a sustainable design‑first culture across the business. Desired Experience Leadership of global design teams delivering high‑quality enterprise and consumer software. Curiosity to experiment, iterate, and scale with cutting‑edge technologies. Proven success in evolving sophisticated design systems. Expertise in refining the end‑to‑end customer journey to foster loyalty and retention. Detail‑oriented, capable of managing strategic initiatives. Strong presentation, storytelling, and cross‑functional communication skills. Accountability for hard decisions, even when outcomes are negative. Understanding of key business metrics and their connection to design. Role Essentials 15+ years of UX experience, managing and building teams while delivering enterprise products. Experience with AI technologies contributing to innovative products. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HCI, Industrial/Visual Design, Behavioral Science, or related discipline. Successful leadership of large UX teams. Proficiency in user‑centered design principles, best practices, trends, and emerging technologies.
