About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Technology to lead its engineering and technology organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and support of the existing team, as well as the growth of the structures and systems that power the platform. This includes managing engineering managers, setting the technical direction, and ensuring the platform's technical architecture is sound and evolves to meet the long-term goals. The role is pivotal in translating the company's strategy into execution and requires a hands-on leader who can earn the trust of the team through direct engagement. The Head of Technology will also be accountable for the delivery of the product roadmap, with a focus on where AI and machine learning can create real value. Applicants for the Head of Technology position at the company should have a deep background in software engineering and senior leadership of multi-team organizations. The role demands an exceptional hirer, a proven track record in leading engineering managers, and experience in building and scaling engineering teams in high-growth environments. Strong technical skills in modern cloud-based architectures, DevOps practices, and distributed systems are essential, as is a history of shipping customer-facing product capabilities, including AI-enabled features. The ideal candidate will have an ownership mindset for technology safety and security, experience in partnering with data and data science functions, and excellent people leadership skills. Strategic thinking, a hands-on execution orientation, and outstanding communication skills are also required.
