Position Summary

The Poured-in-Place Playground Safety Surface Sales Manager is responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving sales growth for poured-in-place rubber playground safety surfacing systems. This role focuses on developing partnerships with schools, municipalities, parks and recreation departments, general contractors, landscape architects, daycare centers, and playground equipment suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase market share and revenue.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories.
• Cultivate relationships with school districts, municipalities, parks departments, landscape architects, contractors, and developers.
• Generate leads through networking, referrals, industry events, and cold-calling activities.
• Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.

Account Management

• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and key accounts.
• Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities for future projects.
• Manage customer information and sales activities within CRM systems.

Market & Industry Development

• Stay informed about industry trends, playground safety regulations, and competitor activities.
• Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry association events.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to support promotional campaigns and product launches.
• Represent the company as a trusted expert in playground safety surfacing solutions.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience in playgrounds, recreational products, surfacing, or related industries.
• Strong consultative sales and business development skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Preferred

• Experience selling poured-in-place rubber surfacing or playground equipment.
• Knowledge of ASTM, ADA, and CPSC playground safety standards.
• Experience with public bids, RFPs, and municipal purchasing processes.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar CRM software.
