The main focus of the position is on providing superior outpatient rehabilitation services through a collaborative care model with our physicians in order to optimize performance and enhance the quality of function for our patients. Responsibilities Deliver exceptional patient care Interpret physician orders, perform initial evaluations, and establish treatment plans and functional goals Upgrade and amend treatment goals as necessary during episodes of care Document patient status in writing for physicians per compliance guidelines Determine appropriate discharge timelines and follow-up plans Supervise Rehabilitation Technicians with patient care as needed Maintain compliance with daily paperwork; document all treatment in patient charts in a timely manner Stay current with billing policies and demonstrate ethical billing practices Maintain an active state license by earning appropriate CEUs through outside courses and IBJI sponsored educational opportunities Develop positive relationships with the physician teams at IBJI Participate in patient medial team activities: office visits with physicians, contact with case managers, etc. Participate in programs sponsored by IBJI: Mentoring, clinical educator, special interest group, community outreach Requirements Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Program Licensed or eligible to sit for boards in the state of Illinois Ability to work in a fast-pace environment Professional and effective writing and verbal communication skills Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds Good understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, pushing Ability to stand and sit for sequences of time greater than 30 minutes Ability to work on a computer for lengthy periods during the day Benefits Base salary offers for this position may vary based on location, skills, and relevant experience.
